Person-Centred Psychotherapist & Supervisor in Manchester & the High Peak

About Me

I am a UKCP accredited person-centred psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor working in Manchester city centre and New Mills in North Derbyshire. I trained at The Sherwood Institute in Nottingham and hold a Masters research degree in Humanistic Person-Centred Psychotherapy with the University of Birmingham.

I have a particular interest in the experience of 'endings', which may occur due to bereavement, unemployment, the ending of relationships and general life transitions. I welcome supporting clients through these processes.

I have experience supporting adults with a broad range of issues and challenges. I have also worked therapeutically with adult carers, vulnerable women, and primary school aged children (using person-centred play therapy). In addition to private practice, I currently work for Breast Cancer Care supporting groups of women living with secondary diagnoses. I am also a tutor on the MSc and BSc Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes at The University of Salford. Other employment has included work with young people and with homeless and vulnerable adults.

I am also a Full Member of the BACP and as such adhere to their code of ethics for practice, alongside those of the UKCP.
